Refund & Returns Policy

At Sunnyside Pool Services, we are committed to providing high-quality services and products, and to ensuring our customers are treated fairly and in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

This policy outlines our approach to refunds, returns, and remedies for both services and goods, including online purchases of pool equipment and accessories.

1. Services (e.g. Maintenance, Renovations, Repairs)

All services provided by Sunnyside Pool Services are covered by consumer guarantees under the ACL. You are entitled to a remedy if a service is not:

  • Provided with due care and skill

  • Fit for the intended purpose

  • Completed within a reasonable timeframe

If there is an issue with a service, please contact us within 7 days of completion. Depending on the circumstances, remedies may include:

  • Rectifying the issue at no extra cost

  • Re-performing the service

  • Providing a partial or full refund (where required by law)

We do not provide refunds if you change your mind or cancel after work has commenced or materials have been ordered.

2. Products Sold In-Store or Online

This includes items such as:

  • Pool pumps

  • Filters

  • Chlorinators

  • Heaters

  • Robotic cleaners

  • Pool toys and accessories

We take great care in sourcing and supplying quality products. All goods are sold in compliance with Australian Consumer Law, and where applicable, carry manufacturer warranties.

Change of Mind

We do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind on any product, whether purchased in-store or online. Please choose carefully before completing your purchase.

Faulty or Damaged Goods

If a product is faulty, not functioning as described, or damaged in transit:

  • Notify us within 7 days of receiving the item

  • Provide proof of purchase and a description of the issue

If the product fault is minor, we will facilitate a repair or replacement. If it is major, you may be entitled to a refund, replacement, or repair under the ACL.

Manufacturer Warranties

Many pool products (including pumps, filters, and chlorinators) are covered by manufacturer warranties, typically ranging from 1 to 4 years. If an issue arises within the warranty period:

  • We will assist in contacting the manufacturer

  • Remedies may include repair, replacement, or refund—at the manufacturer’s discretion

Please refer to the warranty documentation included with your product for specific terms.

3. Returns Process for Online Orders

If you need to return a faulty or incorrect item:

  • Contact us at info@sunnysidepoolservices.com.au with your order number, a description of the issue, and photos if applicable

  • We will advise on the next steps, including whether the item needs to be returned or inspected

  • For eligible returns, we will arrange for return shipping or advise how to return the item

Returns must be in original condition where applicable and accompanied by proof of purchase.
